(GERP) – The MagPro committee invites GovGuam employees, their families and the community to participate in what will be a fun and healthy event: the Government of Guam’s Employee Recognition Program 2012, 5K Walk, Run and Wheel, Health Check.
The event will take place this Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Chamorro Village. Show time is 5:30 a.m. and go time is 6 a.m.
The cost is only $3 for government employees and $12 for a family of five. Blood pressure and glucose testing will be taken before and after the event.
Free T-shirts to the first 500 finishers as well as refreshments and door prizes will be provided after the race.
“We hope that the GovGuam employees and their families will demonstrate their pride in working for the people of Guam by participating in this event,” MagPro chairman Tony Lamorena said. “At the same time, we look forward to seeing the community support the event and our government employees who work hard for the betterment of the island.”
Those interested can sign up at the Civil Service Commission Offices in Sinajaña or Hornet Sporting Goods in Tamuning. GovGuam employees can also go to their respective agency’s MagPro representative for the registration form and payment. Last day for preregistration is noon on Friday, Oct. 12.
