THE Bud Light Golden Hoops Classic 2012 Fall Tournament hosted four games on Wednesday night at Tamuning Gym in the coed recreation division and 18-plus men’s varsity division.
In the 18-plus men’s varsity division, the Tamuning Typhoons defeated the Bank of Guam Club 61-59.
Typhoons big men Derrick Royster and Pieerce Evangelista kept the defending champions at bay putting up big numbers with 22 points and 17 points, respectively.
Bank of Guam’s Cory Lorenzo scored 21 points and Manny Borja scored 11 points in the loss.
Defenders vs. Stars
The Andersen Defenders went up against the Four Stars for the 61-51 win as Defenders' Ollie Bradley and Dave Robbins scored 13 points a piece for the win. Four Stars’ Jayme Saperna scored 17 points and Gino Soulik chipped in 11.
Sixers vs. Legacy
In the battle of the clubs, Sixers Club defeated Legacy Club 71-67. Sixers' Adam Lloyd scored 20 points while Stefan Whitehurst scored 12. Legacy’s Jayrald Yu scored a game-high 27 points in the loss.
Fuetsa vs. Ada's
In the coed recreation division, Fuetsa Club took down Ada’s Trust 57-33. Fuetsa’s Joseph Gumataotao was the top scorer with 11 points while Ada’s Trust Robert Torres, Anthony John and Matthew Replan scored eight points each in the loss.
Games continue on Sunday starting at 11 a.m. with the final game played at 8 p.m.
