(PXC) – Pacific X-treme Combat, the top mixed martial arts organization in the Philippines, continues to grow its roster of the best Filipino fighters, announcing an exclusive multiple-fight deal with local MMA star Mark Shriegl.
PXC promoter and CEO E.J. Calvo stated, “Mark will be highlighted as one of our top Filipino talents putting his undefeated record on the line on nationwide television.” Calvo added, “We are happy to give Mark an opportunity to compete at the highest level of MMA in the Philippines and showcase his abilities. We will definitely test him with some of the best opponents in Asia!”
Striegl is Filipino-American and resides and trains in Baguio City, Philippines. Mark is undefeated as a professional, and has recorded wins in various shows across Asia, making a name for himself in Japan, Hong Kong and Macau, as well as in the Philippines. Shriegl will make his PXC debut against featherweight Robert Wustig, a tough up-and-coming fighter from Guam.
Wustig is on a two-fight win streak, including a championship victory in Trench Warz-15 against Shane Alvarez, the undefeated featherweight from Saipan. Upon returning to PXC competition, Wustig is looking to climb the PXC rankings and live up to his reputation as a spoiler. In his young career, Robert “The Real Deal” Wustig has fought some of Guam’s toughest MMA fighters, recording key wins against former bantamweight champ Justin Cruz and scrapper Thaddeus Malbreaux.
Striegl will take on Wustig on Sept. 1 at PXC 33.
PXC 33 will be broadcast live on Saturday, Sept. 1 from The Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig, Manila. PXC is exclusively broadcast on AKTV Sports, free-to-air nationwide on IBC 13. The event will also feature PXC’s much-anticipated lightweight title fight and a fight card showcasing the best fighters in the Asia-Pacific region.
