(DPC) – The Docomo Pacific Copa De Marianas Jiu Jitsu Gi and No Gi Tournament will be held at the Phoenix Center on Aug. 18, starting at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m.
The Copa is a “gi” and “no gi” tournament. What makes this tournament different then the Marianas Open is that the “no gi” part is part of the tournament this time.
The tournament brings the best jiu jitsu practitioners to test their skills every year. For the most part, anyone who hears the copa is going to happen trains extremely hard so they have bragging rights for the year.
The organizers have done tournaments that have mimicked the world class events that go on during the year in Usa and all of Asia.
Most of the competitors who enter have the experience that would help them in their tournaments if they choose to compete abroad. The last day for registration of competitors is Aug. 17, no later than 6:30 p.m. at the Fokai shop in Hagåtña. For any questions or inquiry, call 777-9044.
