BIG Brothers Big Sisters of Guam, in partnership with the Guam Strike Zone Batting Cages, will host an event for volunteer mentors or “Bigs” and their “Littles” on Sunday, July 15 at the Dededo facility.

“The Strike Zone is an excellent opportunity to help build mentoring relationships and self-esteem while participating in a fitness activity,” according to Tim Reynolds, case manager of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guam.

Volunteer mentor and Bank of Guam Athletics baseball player Roke Alcantara will be there to offer tips and advice to Littles at the batting cages.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guam is grateful to Strike Zone for supporting this event.

“Strike Zone recognizes that mentorships and other types of lifelong bonds gained in childhood, adolescence and even in adulthood bring positive changes in our community and in the lives of those who participate,” Strike Zone General Manager Jurel Bennett said.

The Batting Cage Event for “Bigs” and “Littles” will be held at the Guam Strike Zone Batting Cages in Dededo on Sunday, July 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
