THE jury is expected to issue its verdict today in the trial of Kyle Indalecio Camacho, who allegedly abducted a woman from the Micronesia Mall parking lot.

The week-long trial ended Thursday after two witnesses – the victim and her sister – testified before the jury. They both identified Camacho from the witness stand and told the jurors that the 20-year-old man was the one who abducted the victim at around 8 p.m. on Jan. 5.

The victim took the stand, faced her abductor, and recalled her experience with Camacho about how he forced himself into her car and drove off to an abandoned building before stopping at Marbo Cave in Mangilao, where responding police officers tracked them down and eventually rescued the victim.

The victim’s testimony was corroborated by her sister who took the witness stand and identified Camacho as the man who drove off with her sister’s car while her sister was in the vehicle being held against her will.

Camacho, a convicted sex offender after he was found guilty of sexually molesting an 11-year-old girl in 2012, was on parole when he committed the abduction case.

He was charged with kidnapping, felonious restraint, assault, terrorizing, possession of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
