A 14-year-old girl from Dededo who was kidnapped by three individuals early Wednesday morning was found safe after she was missing for several hours.

Guam Police Department spokesman Officer Allan Guzman said the 14-year-old was found in Tamuning and was interviewed by police investigators while members of the Criminal Investigation Division continued their search for the two men and a woman who abducted the girl.

The suspects who took the 14-year-old appeared familiar to the victim who was awakened by the sound of tires screeching outside her Dededo home.

At about 2:25 a.m., the victim woke up and recognized one of the suspects. She went to the door and told him to leave. The man grabbed her and forced her into the back of the car, a gray Nissan Altima.

Another female, a 15-year-old, attempted to help the first minor but was confronted by another male who prevented her from assisting. The 15-year-old then fled to the rear of the residence and called the police.

Dededo precinct officers immediately responded to the scene but the suspects had fled with the victim in the suspects’ vehicle.

At around 12:30 p.m., police located the victim in a Tamuning residence and she was brought to a nearby police station for an interview and medical examination. Police are not providing any other details about where she was found as investigators continue to pursue the suspects.
