SALAMON Retonog, 28, was charged with burglary as a second-degree felony and assault following his arrest last Saturday, June 22.

According to a magistrate’s report, Retonog was heard yelling in the parking lot of his Sinajaña apartment complex.

The victim in the alleged crime, Retonog’s neighbor, went outside to check what was going on when he saw Retonog holding what looked to be a knife.

Frightened, the victim went back to his apartment to wait for police to arrive.

An hour later, the defendant allegedly entered the victim’s apartment unannounced and challenged him to a fight. Retonog allegedly refused to leave and proceeded to attack the victim in his own home.

The victim was able to overpower Retonog and shove him out of his house, after which the defendant fled the area.

Retonog was booked and confined.
