A MAN accused of conspiring with other drug dealers to distribute more than 50 grams of illegal substance and laundering drug sale proceeds yesterday pleaded not guilty to drug charges.

Julian Gerald Borja Robles waived the reading of the indictment when he appeared yesterday at the federal district court for his arraignment.

A federal grand jury charged Robles with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, conspiracy to launder proceeds, money laundering, and felon in possession of firearms.

He was allegedly engaged in the illegal activity for three years.

The indictment said Robles conspired with other people to distribute methamphetamine in quantities ranging from 13.1 grams to 14.5 grams, on seven separate occasions from January 2009 to November 2012.

Records of financial transactions, including wire transfers to several individuals, also revealed Robles’ unlawful activity, court documents state.

Previously convicted, Robles was also allegedly in possession of a handgun, rifle, and bullets. His jury trial is set for July 17 at 9:30 a.m.
