REGISTRATION has started for the 5th Annual Guam Affordable Housing Symposium where private and public experts and other industry stakeholders can dialogue on the challenges of the housing industry as well as current and future strategies shaping the affordable housing landscape on Guam.

To be held June 5 to 6 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, the symposium will be presented by the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority, Guam Housing Corporation, Micronesian Community Development Corporation, and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.

According to information posted on the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco website, the symposium participants will hear from top government officials on the importance of affordable housing; view a video on Guam’s new affordable housing; explore current issues from the Members of the Affordable Housing Coordinating Council and affordable housing partners; learn about continuing challenges and potential solutions; and find out how housing can be made more energy efficient.

Symposium organizers are encouraging developers, engineers, government officials, planners, lenders, nonprofits involved in housing, realtors, architects, universities, and consultants to attend the event.

For members of the public who are interested in attending, a fee of $35 as well as advanced registration is required. For more information, click on the following link:
