GRESCO Inc. has been awarded a contract to supply the Department of Defense Education Activity schools with liquefied petroleum gas for the next five years.

The contract has a maximum value of $141,075, according to the announcement. The contract began with the April 1 award date and continues with a one-year base period followed by four one-year option periods.

According to the announcement, it is anticipated that the contract will require the delivery of about 5,500 gallons of the fuel per year to the three DODEA schools on Guam – Guam High School, McCool Elementary/Middle School and Andersen Elementary/Middle School.

Liquefied petroleum gas is used to heat water and for cooking, according to the notice.

The contract is set aside for small businesses.
