BANK of Guam has been awarded a $1,500 matching grant from the Armed Forces Financial Network. The grant is part of the network’s Military Community Support Program. The money will be matched by Bank of Guam in support of a program to provide the children of deployed soldiers with supplies and the opportunity to prepare artwork and cards for the soldiers, according to a release from the bank.

Art supplies will be supplied by National Office Supply.

The bank is working with the Guam National Guard Family Readiness Group to organize the event on April 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. The children will be in the Auditorium, Building 700 of the Guam National Guard Family Readiness Center in Barrigada.

The Armed Forces Financial Network is an ATM and point-of-sale network providing the U.S. military community with ready access to their funds through ATM and POS terminals located at or near U.S. military bases worldwide. It was founded in 1985, according to its website. Bank of Guam is an AFFN participant.
