(FDMS) – Father Duenas Memorial School held a groundbreaking and blessing of the Boys’ Chapel at their school campus yesterday.

The groundbreaking is a momentous occasion for the FD community, as it signifies the launch of their long anticipated Renaissance Project, a capital improvement campaign that promises a new chapel, a state-of-the-art sports stadium, more classrooms, and a secured gated entry, among other features.

The project will be constructed in phases with the Boys’ Chapel as the initial project and the sports stadium and classrooms following shortly after.

"This October, we will be celebrating our 65th anniversary and what better way to kick off our birthday than to revitalize our campus starting with the root of our identity – our Catholic faith. This chapel will be a great symbol of our identity, one that the students and faculty here at the school are proud to proclaim. Our motto, “Fortes En Fide,” means “Strong in the Faith” and this chapel is a testament to that,” said Fr. Jeff San Nicolas, Principal of Father Duenas Memorial School.

The school welcomes the public, most especially FDMS alumni, parents, and friends of the school to help celebrate the occasion.
