A SECOND bomb threat was called in to Naval Base Guam yesterday morning, and increased security at all levels has been implemented.
Citizens entering the base can expect delays as security checks of vehicles and identification checks are being conducted.
The Navy is still investigating the threat.
Naval Base Guam Commanding Officer Cpt. Mike Ward stated in a release: “While we know that it is inconvenient to the public and to everyone trying to enter the base, these precautions are to ensure everyone’s safety.”
Other than delayed traffic at the gates, no other operations have been negatively affected, Joint Region Marianas stated.
The first called-in bomb threat occurred Monday morning.
