A 22-year-old man faces criminal charges in the Superior Court after allegedly impregnating a 15-year-old girl.
Jae Hee Lee was arrested last week after a criminal sexual conduct complaint was made Oct. 29 by a local high school and the teen’s father.
According to court documents, the teen’s parents recently found out she was eight months pregnant. The teen admitted to them that she had been having intercourse with Lee, who is the father.
Lee subsequently was contacted by police and stated he and the teen “had been in a relationship for about one year” since July or August of last year, court documents indicated.
He further added he believed that the teen’s passport information on her age being 15 was “incorrect” and that “she was really 16 years of age at the time they were having sex,” court documents stated.
Lee was charged in court with third degree criminal sexual conduct as a second degree felony.
