POLICE have arrested a man after he allegedly beat up his foster son and threatened to kill him.
Michael Paul Babauta Nauta, 48, is accused of brutally abusing his 11-year-old foster son after having searched for him at the Agat Gym.
According to Superior Court of Guam documents, Nauta grabbed the boy by his shirt, threw him in the backseat of the car, and while driving, Nauta allegedly turned around repeatedly to punch the boy.
As they arrived home, Nauta then allegedly pulled the boy out of the car, “in a manner so rough that [the victim’s] pants came off,” court documents stated.
The boy was stripped of his clothing and left naked on the ground where Nauta proceeded to allegedly stomp on the boy’s head. Court documents state Nauta bit the boy on his right ear then grabbed and dragged him away, yelling, “I’m going to kill you.”
Police noted visible injuries on the victim, including lacerations and swelling to the right eye and right side of the chest and arms. The boy told officers “my chest and head is hurting from the punches and kicks my dad did to me,” court documents indicated.
Nauta was charged with family violence; aggravated assault; child abuse; and terrorizing, all as third degree felonies.
