If you’re interested in hearing some great Chamorro music live, head on down to the Gov. Joseph Flores Beach Park this Sunday.
San Diego Chamoru recording artist Ben “Maga Lahi” Lizama has put together a “Chamoru Yu” Benefit Concert for the Hurao Academy between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the park’s amphitheater.
Several local recording artists will join him on stage.
Lizama, in a recent interview, wanted to give something back to the community and felt the concert would be one aspect, especially for Hurao Academy.
Residents are encouraged to bring their beach towels, blankets, chairs and their dancing zories. A free Ben “Maga Lahi” Hunngan Magahet album will be given out. All you have to do is donate one or two cases of soda.
