The passenger who died in last Saturday’s auto/pole accident along Route 3 was officially identified as Narinta Narian Lee, of Dededo.
According to Guam Police Department spokesman Officer A.J. Balajadia, she died as a result of a broken neck. Autopsy reports reveal that Lee also had contusions to her skull.
Lee was the passenger in a 1999 Ford Taurus driven by another woman. The driver, who has yet to be identified, was reportedly heading south just before 5 a.m. when she somehow lost control of the vehicle, went on to the opposite lane and ended up slamming into a concrete pole.
Lee was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, however, escaped with minor injuries and was treated and released at Guam Memorial Hospital.
No arrests have been made nor were any citations issued. The crash is still under investigation.
