IN RECOGNITION of her contribution to the government of Guam and the island, a state funeral will be held for Gloria “Lola” Camacho Borja Nelson next week.
Vince Arriola, the Legislature’s executive director, said the state funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 23 and will start promptly at 8 a.m. at the Legislature building in Hagåtña.
The family of Nelson, members of the diplomatic corps, and island dignitaries including mayors and vice mayors, former senators, governors, lieutenant governors and military officers, will be present. Also attending is Guam Delegate Madeleine Z. Bordallo.
