ROADWORK on Route 7A (East O’Brien Drive) has been rescheduled to 1 to 4 p.m. today. The repaving had originally been scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The lane heading eastbound, from Route 4 toward Route 8, will be closed. Only eastbound traffic from the Minondo Bridge to Route 8 will be open.
According to a news release from the Guam Transportation Program, the rode will be paved with asphalt during this block of time. An estimated 1,800 feet of new roadway will be installed between the Hagåtña River Bridge and the intersection of Route 7A and Route 8.
The Route 7A project began in September 2011 and is expected to be completed by October 2012.
Other roadway projects that are continuing throughout the island are the construction on the Taleyfak Spanish Bridge in Agat, Route 17 in Talofofo, Ylig Bridge in Yoña (Route 4), Route 4 from Hagåtña McDonald's to Route 10, Port Authority Road (Route 1 and Route 11 intersection), and the Hagåtña Bridges (Route 1 and Route 8 intersection) project.
