WENDY’S is on track to open its first store in the Harmon/Dededo area. Located on Route 1, Marine Corps Drive, the new Wendy’s will take the spot between Bank of Hawaii in Upper Tumon and the Route 1 and 16 intersection near the Micronesia Mall.

Sumiko Espaldon, executive vice president and franchisee of Wendy’s Guam, led up the development of the new northern location.

“After receiving consistent customer feedback, all arrows were pointing to the Harmon/Dededo area for Wendy’s. To our Harmon/Dededo friends and family, we are happy to be here for you,” she said.

Espaldon is hopeful for new visits due to increased accessibility in this area. “We’re hoping to welcome customers who work, live, shop and go to school in the Dededo, Harmon and (Upper) Tumon area. This is also a step closer for the residents, workers and students of Yigo and Andersen Air Force Base.”

Wendy’s will take the entire first floor frontage of the new Polo Building, located at 1380 N. Marine Drive. The restaurant will have a drive-thru and will have seating for approximately 100 people.

In partnership with Wendy’s International, restaurant design and layout were created by David and Liza Provido Tan.

Overall restaurant construction and finishing were led by Eloy Manalo and 5M Construction.

The new restaurant will be led by a five-member management team supervising more than 40 employees. Jeff Munoz, senior general manager on Guam, will be heading up the store.
