POLICE have arrested the mother of a lost child who was found crying on the floor of a shopping center with infected sores on her body and liquid oozing from the left ear.
Roseleen Robert, 38, was at the Agana Shopping Center on Aug. 23 when police located her regarding her 2-year-old child. According to Superior Court documents, Robert told police she was unsure where or who her child was with while she went shopping.
Prior to locating Robert, police had observed the child to have two 2-inch infected rashes or sores on her upper back and neck area which were oozing and bleeding. They asked Robert whether the child had been provided medical attention, to which Robert admitted she had not.
“Robert stated that [the child’s] shot records were not up to date and that Robert has not taken [the child] to see a doctor for the past two years due to Robert coping with her pregnancy,” court documents indicated.
Robert was charged yesterday in Superior Court with child abuse as a misdemeanor.
