FARMERS and gardeners looking for a supply of mulch for a backyard garden or vegetable farm can head down to Dededo tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The University of Guam and Northern Soil and Water Conservation District will have mulch available at the Old Kato Farm along Wusstig Road.
For those who will be heading to the area, a backhoe will be on-site to load pickup trucks. No dump trucks will be allowed.
Cost of mulch will be $20 for 1-and-a-half-ton trucks, such as the Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma; and $30 for 1-ton trucks, including the Ford F150 and Chevy Silverado.
The Chamorro Land Trust Commission, Guam Environmental Protection Agency and the Yigo, Dededo and Tamuning Mayor’s Offices also provided support for the project.
