LONE Star Steakhouse, one of Guam’s favorite dining establishments, just turned 17 years old this August. To celebrate the occasion, management and staff recently held a celebration.
The locally-owned and operated restaurant, a part sports bar and meeting venue, has been the go-to place for families and military personnel, according to a press release.
According to Brian Artero, president of Pacific Dining LLC (doing business as Lone Star Steakhouse), the restaurant has come a long way since it first set up shop here on Guam.
“I remember the early years when handing out buckets of peanuts and encouraging diners to toss the shells on the floor was our signature. Now, 17 years later, our restaurant remains consistently crowded on a daily basis and we hope that it is a combination of our delicious food and great customer service that brings people coming back. Whatever it is, we are grateful to our customers and proud to be serving our island,” Artero said.
This year, Lone Star will be giving away a 2012 4-door Hyundai Elantra embellished with the Lone Star Steakhouse logo as a thank you to their loyal customers.
To enter, Artero says residents just need to “drop in, chow down and sign up.” Forms will be available to guests at Lone Star.
Customers can also double their chances of winning by test-driving a vehicle at Cars Plus. The car giveaway will be announced at a later date.
Giving back
In addition, the establishment will be giving part of the proceeds from their 17th anniversary special menu to Make-A-Wish Foundation and first lady Christine Calvo’s Rigalu Foundation.
“We felt that these two wonderful organizations have such important missions and we want to support their efforts. We’ve been so fortunate to have found great success on-island and this is just our way of giving back,” Artero said.
