A 42-year-old man was arrested last week Wednesday after allegedly violating a court order to stay away from his wife and assaulting her.
Rayland Alfonso Towai is accused of stalking his wife then pushing her to the ground last week after being upset over papers his wife filed with Child Protective Services and the Superior Court of Guam. Towai had confronted his wife, Victoria Piteg, and asked what she had said about him the last time he went to jail, court documents stated.
As Piteg denied having said anything, Towai then placed several papers from CPS and a Protection Order paper in front of her and asked her to read the papers to him aloud, court documents indicated. Piteg then left the residence shortly and informed Superior Court probation officers of the incident and set up a meeting for the afternoon.
While on the way to the assigned meeting area, Towai approached Piteg in a vehicle then proceeded to chase after her on foot.
“Towai caught her, grabbed her and pushed her to the ground, causing her elbows to be scraped,” court documents stated. “At that point, probation officers arrived and separated them.”
Towai was charged Friday in Superior Court with burglary; advanced stalking; two counts of family violence; two counts of violation of a court order; and assault.
