CANDIDATES for Guam’s non-voting delegate position in the House of Representatives are being featured today during a luncheon hosted by the Guam Young Professionals, or GYP.
The group is a committee of the Guam Chamber of Commerce.
Expected to attend the event are incumbent Guam Delegate Madeleine Bordallo (D), Sen. Frank Blas Jr. (R), Karlo Dizon (D) and Jonathan Diaz (I).
The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Outrigger Guam Resort, Fort San Jose Ballroom.
According to a news release, the function is the first of three membership meetings in GYP’s “You Decide: Election Series 2012.”
Members of the Guam Young Professionals will have the opportunity to meet the congressional and senatorial candidates, hear their platforms, and make an informed decision during the November election.
The next two membership meetings will take place on Sept. 19 and Oct. 24 featuring the incumbents and the new candidates running for office.
On Oct. 24, GYP is hosting a “Meet the Candidates” mixer at 5:30 p.m. at the Outrigger Bamboo Lounge.
