A WOMAN has admitted in federal court to participating in narcotic drug distribution on Guam for a period of three years.
In a plea agreement filed Wednesday in the District Court of Guam, Deborah Arbes entered a guilty plea to information charging her with conspiracy to distribute a net weight of more than 50 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or “ice.”
According to information on the plea agreement, Arbes admitted that from 2008 to 2011, she had been assisting in the distribution of methamphetamine on Guam.
“As agreed with others, the defendant would assist in the distribution of methamphetamine from other narcotic dealers on Guam and the mainland and the subsequent sale of it for a profit to others,” the plea agreement stated. “During this time it was foreseeable to the defendant that the group of co-conspirators she was assisting would distribute over 50 grams net weight of methamphetamine hydrochloride on Guam and that these individuals did in fact distribute in excess of this amount of ice on Guam.”
Upon sentencing, Arbes may face anywhere from 10 years to life imprisonment, a $10 million fine, and a term of supervised release of at least five years.
Abes was granted pre-sentence release. She is scheduled for sentencing on April 23, 2013.
