THE Judiciary of Guam yesterday announced they've joined the Adopt-A-School program, focusing efforts on ground maintenance and cleaning at Simon Sanchez High School.
Chief Justice F. Philip Carbullido recently approved a request by the Yigo school's administrators to help open the school.
“We are happy to join the rest of the government and members of the community to actively support our students,” Carbullido stated in a press release. “Simon Sanchez High School is a critical school facility in need of critical assistance.”
According to the Judiciary, employees and resources were dispatched to the school on Tuesday and will remain until their assigned tasks are completed.
They will be coordinating with other government agencies, community organizations, businesses and other volunteers in providing ground maintenance and cleaning around certain areas within the campus.
The Adopt-A-School program was launched by Gov. Eddie Calvo last month. It encourages government agencies to volunteer their help at public schools before they open on Aug. 20.

What ever happened to the SRO's ( sp ) ? Remember those 6-7 folks that were hired, then fired, then hired again to patrol our schools and prevent riots and violence. I never read about them anymore ?
