A PUBLIC hearing will be held Wednesday, Aug. 1 for Bill 461-31 (COR).
The bill, introduced by Sen. Ben Pangelinan, provides for the Guam Social Work Practice Act.
The hearing will take place 6 p.m. at the Legislature.
The legislation calls for the creation of a Social Work Board to regulate the practice of social work on the island by controlling the licensure and regulating the practitioners of social work.
Sen. Dennis Rodriguez, chairman of the health and human services committee, will preside over the hearing.
