POLICE are investigating the shooting of a man late Saturday night at the Maite Mobil McDonald's.
Few details were provided regarding the incident. The shooting was reported at around 11 p.m. Saturday. The victim, who is believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, was transported to Guam Memorial Hospital for treatment.
A nursing supervisor said the man remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit. It is not known how many times the man was shot.
He is listed as a John Doe and relatives are being sought by police so he can be positively identified.
Individuals who were present at the time of the shooting are being interviewed. The case is currently under investigation by the Guam Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
Still critical
Meanwhile, a woman remains in critical condition at Guam Memorial Hospital after she was struck by an automobile late Friday night in Tamuning.
Guam Fire Department acting spokesman Lt. Phil Camacho said the 911 call was received at around 9:21 p.m. Friday night.
Camacho said a bystander performed CPR on the woman until medics arrived.
A nursing supervisor at GMH said the woman sustained multiple bone fractures throughout her body. She was identified only as 34 years old and Caucasian.
According to police at the scene, the woman was trying to cross Chalan San Antonio near the Tamuning Cost-U-Less when she was hit by a sedan that was traveling in the northbound lane.
No arrests have been made and no citations have been issued pending the outcome of the investigation being conducted by the Guam Police Department’s Highway Patrol Division.
