STUDENTS at Simon Sanchez High School were temporarily evacuated from the Yigo campus following a report of the discovery of ordnance in the area just before noon yesterday.
The Variety learned the ordnance was a stun or flash grenade.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit from Andersen Air Force Base was called to assist the Guam Police Department and the Guam Fire Department. The grenade was removed from the site.
The students, faculty and administrative staff were given the green light just after 1 p.m. and classes resumed.
An investigation is underway.
