A 35-year-old woman faces misdemeanor charges for calling emergency dispatch, claiming she had been stabbed and needed medical attention.

Kanrina Kantido Rokop allegedly called 911 on Friday, April 13 to report she had been stabbed by her boyfriend two times.

She said she was located at the Mongmong-Toto-Maite Mayor's Office. But when police responded to the dispatch and searched the area for two hours, they were unable to locate her.

An investigation was launched and police were able to trace the number back to Rokop, Superior Court of Guam documents state. When Rokop was taken in for police interview, she admitted to fabricating the call.

“[Rokop] explained she was angry with her boyfriend, Robert Salo, so she called 911 and said she was stabbed in the face by Robert,” court documents state. “She was at her residence but claimed to be at the Toto Mayor's Office.”

Rokop was charged in Superior Court the following day with false alarm and making false reports, both as misdemeanors.
