NEARLY 3,000 visitors from the cruise liner M/V Sea Princess docked on Guam yesterday for a one-day visit.

The cruise vessel arrived on Guam around 8 a.m. and departed around 5 p.m. Upon arrival, the Sea Princess, which visited Guam for the first time, was met by cultural dancers and entertainers.

The ship had 1,892 passengers and 847 crew on board. It sailed in from Japan and departed Guam for Papua New Guinea. It will return to Brisbane, Australia on April 13.

Some of the stops the cruise ship has made since it departed on March 4 include Bali, Malaysia, China and Korea.

The Sea Princess, which is based out of Santa Clarita, Calif., is a subsidiary of Carnival Corp.

This is the second cruise liner to visit Guam this year. The first cruise ship to visit Guam this year, the Pacific Princess, arrived for a day-visit on March 9.
