If the governor’s request is granted, the public review period would be extended to 120 days. Camacho noted additional time is needed to review the voluminous document as the EIS is the largest such report in Guam’s history.
Senators Rory Respicio and Judi Guthertz also wrote to Bice on Oct. 23, stating not one local official has confidence in the successful review of the DEIS because of the 45-day timeline. (Therese Hart)
