JUST when residents were getting used to lower gas prices at the pump, Shell Guam hiked up the amount for both regular and premium by 10 cents yesterday.
The increase comes nearly two weeks after Shell, 76 and Mobil gas stations lowered their prices by 10 cents. Â
The price to pay for a regular gallon of unleaded fuel at the time was $3.24 for regular and $3.54 for premium. It was also the first one in about two months. Â
Now residents will have to again pay $3.34 for regular and $3.64 for premium unleaded gas at the pump. Â
Although the price of gas sold at the two other gas stations has yet to change, they are expected to follow suit.
The price of crude oil was reported to have decreased over the weekend despite topping $80 per barrel last week. According to the Associate Press, prices were below $79 a barrel in Asia following three days of losses. (Zita Y. Taitano)
