Prior to the show, the producers and writers of the movie, Don and Kel Muna, as well as the actors greeted family, friends, colleagues and fans during a VIP party event in the Agana Shopping Center.Â
The crowd was also treated to music from bands featured in the film such as Rebel Lion and Brandi Jae.
Patrick Bamba, acting executive director of CAHA and one of the sponsors of the film, was honored to assist in the premier, especially since the movie portrays the local talents of the island.
"When I first learned about the film, the film was completed," Bamba said, "Someone sent me a link to the website and I got to see the teaser. I just thought that this is something that CAHA needs to get involved with. When they came to my office and approached, there was just no doubt. I thought, these two are local artists, we need to do something about helping them along."
Looking around at the crowd attending the VIP party, Kel Muna appeared ecstatic. "I'm actually at a loss for words," he said. "It's definitely a highlight and it's more than what we expected Shiro's Head to be when my brother Don and myself embarked on the project about two years ago."
He said they literally put the screenplay together on their computers at home.
"It couldn't have been possible. It couldn't have been completed without the helping hand of family and friends and the fantastic cast that we came across, so we can't take credit for all. It's a collaboration with a lot of cool people who wanted to get involved in a cool project."
During the VIP party, Don Muna commended everyone who was involved. "This is just how it really came together. Everyone came out at the last minute and made everything so great," he said.

Cast member Nicolas Baza, who portrayed Oz in the movie, said it was privilege to be working with the Munas, who Baza has known since they were kids. Â
"I already knew that they would never steer us wrong. They are so committed. Their drive, their heart, their imagination and their ability is uncanny and it's an inspiration to me every day. I'm extremely proud to know them, grow up with them and participate in this great event," Baza said.
The premier started at 9 p.m. last Friday and was shown again Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. The shows were all sold out.
