THE Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association is showcasing its third annual “Taste Guam” on Aug. 7 at the Hyatt Regency Guam, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

GHRA described the event as “The ultimate food and beverage festival.”
“Taste Guam is a family-oriented event for families to experience all the activities, particularly the live cooking demo from top executive chefs,” said Bina Garcia, project coordinator. “It is exciting. Where else do you get to view this?”

Highlights of the event include chefs competition, beer festival, wine-tasting room, live-cooking demonstration, farmers market booths, and competitions for the People’s Choice Award for best tasting local dish.

The entrance is free, but guests need to purchase a $20 coupon booklet, which they will use to buy food from vendors.

Proceeds will be donated to the Micronesia Chef’s Association, Guam Community College Arts Academy and Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association scholarship programs.
